American Oncology Network (AON) is a physician-led alliance of community oncology practices founded in 2018. The network operates across 20 U.S. states, supported by a team of more than 300 providers. Its governance model is designed to preserve clinical and operational autonomy for its member practices while leveraging the collective scale of the network.
The organization delivers a range of centralized services to its affiliated practices, including pathology, specialty pharmacy, radiation and radiology services, and care coordination. It also provides enhanced services such as clinical labs, an oral oncolytic pharmacy, and financial assistance programs for patients.
AON's structure allows independent community oncology practices to access infrastructure and resources typically available only at larger institutions. This model aims to support the viability of community-based cancer care in a consolidating healthcare market.
