The Bois Forte Band of Chippewa is a sovereign, federally recognized Native American Tribe based in northern Minnesota. The Band provides a range of programs and services for its more than 3,000 enrolled members, operating across a wide array of public service areas.
Its operational scope includes Tribal Government Services, Health and Human Services, Natural Resources and Land Management, Law Enforcement, Housing, Judicial, Public Works, Employment and Training Services, Community Wellness, and Cultural Preservation. The Band is committed to preserving and perpetuating Ojibwe culture and operates a cultural museum and heritage center as part of that mission.
