The Florida Gators are the intercollegiate athletic programme of the University of Florida, competing at the NCAA Division I level as a member of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). Based in Gainesville, Florida, the organisation fields teams across 16 men's and women's sports. Its competitive record is substantial: the programme has been ranked among the top ten in national all-sports standings for 42 consecutive years, a streak running from the 1983-84 season through 2025-26.
The football programme holds three national championships and eight SEC titles. It has also produced three Heisman Trophy winners. The broader athletics department states a commitment to providing a championship experience with integrity both on and off the field.
The organisation is currently undergoing significant infrastructure changes through The Swamp renovation project, which aims to deliver modernised facilities for both student-athletes and spectators.
